The tradition of rose petals sweet

Rodozahari, one of the most delicious sweets, is a traditional sweet of Aigialeia and is produced by the Holy Monastry of Taxiarches in Aigio for more than 100 years, from a unique kind of rose, and sugar.
Its recipe, however, remains a secret, while in 1935 rodozachari has been awarded at the Exhibition of Thessaloniki as an original sweet recipe.

Each year the monks devote themselves to the cultivation of roses and wait patiently for the buds to open their rose petals. When the roses are ready, cut them carefully, place them in large baskets and then remove the rose petals.
The continuation of the recipe is secret but the ultimate taste of rose sugar is unique.


Since fall of 2021, our company came to an agreement with the Holy Monastry of Taxiarches in Aigio for the, exclusively, production and marketing of rose petals sweet.

The recipe remains the same traditional and the production is done, under the supervision of the Holy Monastery, in the modern facilities of our company.

It is self-evident, however, that all the prescribed health protocols defined by the legislation are observed. Our company has the ELOT EN ISO 22000: 2018 certification for the production and marketing management system.
